The 12oz 101x jacket is the perfect solution. It's soft and suitable for year-round wear. It utilizes lightweight indigo selvedge denim woven by Kuroki Mills. In contrast to many other stonewashed denim jackets that often appear highly artificial, the blue color achieved through washing this 3sixteen jacket is simply astonishing.
Distressing on wear points, commonly seen on jeans and jackets, rarely matches up with the areas where a wearer's body moves, resulting in a strange, unnatural high contrast without any depth. Thus, when 3sixteen set out to develop the wash treatment for this jacket, those techniques were all off the table - no sanding, no laser distressing, no harsh chemicals. Unless the owner washes their jacket on a weekly basis (which, besides being a lot of work, would be an extraordinary waste of water), there's really no way to achieve the color exhibited here. They worked closely with a wash house in Los Angeles to develop a multi-stage process that includes a pumice stone wash, light bleach, and softeners to achieve the perfect shade of blue.
The cut offers a slight slim fit, adding a modern touch to its classic inspiration. Most people find it comfortable to go one size up in 3sixteen denim jackets compared to their 3sixteen shirts.
