Fullcount 2102XXW 15.5oz Type II Denim Jacket

The iconic Type II jacket originated during a transitional period when denim jackets evolved from mere workwear to casual wear in the US, marking a masterpiece of the 1950s. Fullcount expertly reproduces this jacket, and their version may even surpass the original introduced by Levi's in 1953. Crafted from Fullcount's exclusive "Heavy Ounce" denim, a 15.5oz selvedge fabric woven on vintage shuttle looms in Okayama using hand-picked, long-staple Zimbabwean cotton. This fabric offers a slightly firmer texture and richer indigo saturation in the yarns, resulting in a deeper, more profound hue that gradually develops into high-contrast fades over time. 

This jacket features all the superior-quality Fullcount details, including metal buttons, copper rivets, a custom veg-tanned goatskin leather patch, and 100% cotton thread, ensuring a faithful vintage aesthetic.

Despite being a Japanese jacket, we find the sizing of this Type II to be more Western than Japanese. If you usually wear a size M in American jackets, you'll find a suitable fit with this jacket in size 40 (M). However, as always, we recommend consulting our size chart for the perfect fit. It is unsanforized but one washed, so there will be no shrinkage.
